Dartmouth Seating Chart

We've been doing many seating charts lately and have mentioned all of the sports-themed charts, but here is a different take with a college themed chart - "A Dartmouth Love Story." My guess would be that a large majority of the wedding guests were a part of this Darmouth love story and probably loved the tie-in to the wedding!

Also, be sure to check out our new website page on seating charts!

Introducing a New Series on the Blog

Many of my followers know that my sister, Alyssa, got engaged last month. Being her only sister I was pretty sure I'd get to be the Maid of Honor even though I hadn't been asked yet. However a couple weeks went by and I started to wonder... But then one morning last week I received a
FedEx package from Flour Pot Cookies!

I was so excited to open it and find this little note! Anyway, the planning is already in full swing and I thought that it might be fun to detail my perspective of the wedding plans on the blog. So, be sure to check back for my adventures as a maid of honor....because of course, my answer to the question on the note was "Yes!"

(And be sure to check out Flour Pot Cookies for more clever gift giving ideas -- so cute!)

LH Calligraphy on Style Me Pretty

We couldn't believe it when another one of our weddings was featured on Style Me Pretty last week - for the second time this month!

The wedding of Susie and Curtis, which took place in Los Angeles, captures a rustic and vintage Napa Valley essence. The entire affair showcased wine and rich chocolate brown details, so the invitations and other printed materials featured an elegant, chocolate writing in our Baby Script.

The couple decided to post the menu on a large chalkboard along with a directional (and decorative!) sign for the wedding. Signage of any sort is often a necessity, and incorporating it into the overall theme can be a special touch.

Every detail by Beth Helmstetter Events was simply gorgeous!

Real Wedding: Oheka Castle

We were delighted to receive pictures of a recent wedding at Oheka Castle in New York! The couple used our compasses and made them personal by tying a note that read "we found each other now find table 2" - so creative!

{calligraphy in Bickam Swash Caps}

The wedding was filled with personal touches, like these antique hankerchiefs as save the dates, and telegrams that each guest received after RSVPing yes, and a personal note from the couple upon arrival at their hotel.

And the room at Oheka? Elegantly clean & breathtaking...

Los Angeles Map

Here is another "oldie but goodie" from 2007. We love the coloring - it gives the map an aged, rustic feeling, and of course the sanddollar corners are the sweetest touch!

Facebook and Hotmail Accounts Hacked

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know My personal facebook account was hacked. Please know that I am fine and well and looking to get the situation worked out. Please disregard any strange messages! I am not in London, I did not get held at gunpoint, I do not need money for my hotel room. Thanks to everyone who has alerted me. This is apparently a common cybercriminal scam according to Facebook but I've obtained a new password and all is well.

Real Wedding: Cape May

If you like Fall as much as we do, then you will love this autumn themed wedding by Tina of OhSoFabulous! events!

We were so pleased to provide elegant table/escort cards and menus in our Bickham Swash Caps calligraphy. The table cards acted as a seating chart and were arranged in a beautiful display.

...and totes {with Baby Script} for all of the guests! Totes make a great gift for guests at any wedding, and especially destination weddings. They can be left in hotel rooms, given out at the rehearsal dinner, or make special gifts for the bridal party, too!

You can see more of this lovely wedding on the OhSoFabulous! blog. All photos by Desiree of dMdC Photography.

And that lucky bride is....my sister, Alyssa Hooper! Some of you may know that my sister got engaged to her boyfriend of over two years, Ryan, on this past Halloween and this series will chronicle their journey to the altar from her perspective.

{My sister and her betrothed! in Oahu in May}

LH Calligraphy on Style Me Pretty

We were SO excited {as in falling out of our chairs} to see our work from a recent Santa Barbara wedding showcased on Style Me Pretty. The stunning photography of Jose Villa truly captures the beauty of this gorgeous wedding - the bride, groom, details...everything.

Our favorite element is the white calligraphy on grey cardstock for the menus and table cards - a fabulous detail! You can read more about this classic wedding here, here and here on Style Me Pretty.

Emotional Map - with lots of travel!

This emotional map does a wonderful job of sharing the couple's journey together and to each other - twice! The bride was born in Russia, but they met in 7th grade in Los Angeles. After a time as high school sweethearts, and sharing teenage milestones such as prom, each went to different colleges.

But love leaps all boundaries and they reunited just a couple years later for their second "first date"! They traveled through flood & fire to be together, and then traveled the world visiting Italy, Spain, France, Russia & Croatia. The couple happily ventured back to Italy for their pre-wedding honeymoon before tying the knot just two weeks ago!

Congratulations Juliya & Ariel!

Oversize Map - Pasadena, CA

This map of Pasadena, CA was printed as a 20" x 10" poster for a September 2009 wedding. It features the ceremony and reception locations, local hotspots and even the couple's favorite In-N-Out and Starbuck's!

The happy couple even paid a special tribute to their wedding planner, Mary Dann, in Manhattan Beach - check out the lower left hand corner to see her with "six arms" to complete a multitude of tasks!
