Capri, Italy Map

This adorable map of Capri in Italy is perfect for a destination wedding on the ultra charming island.

This map works for any time of year in this island setting, but with the palm trees and ice cream cone, it's a perfect summer delight!

I especially love the lemons in the corners to "frame" the map, and with the shuttle information included right on the map, you'll be helping your guests out with this special momento from your big day!

Adventures of a Bride-to-Be

This weekend I was blessed with such a fun Bridal Shower. My mother-in-law-to-be asked if she could throw me a shower quite a while back, so I had been preparing for this day for some time. I'm the type that has to have a new party dress for every occasion (I know I'm not alone here) so shopping for the perfect outfit was part of the fun! I bought a dress a while back, but then while doing a little wedding registry update, I decided to peruse the mall to see if anything new and more exciting might be out there. I should have known I'd find something. I opted to wear the dress I previously bought for my bachelorette party and buy the newfound dress for the shower. I'm so savvy! I'll spare you the story about the shoes.

I arrived to my shower (late, of course) and was immediately overwhelmed. My girlfriends and family were all there ready to celebrate! I took a moment to check out all the details the ladies of Stephen's family put into decorating for the occasion. They did not leave one room untouched. There was tulle and flowers and pinkness everywhere! It was SO cute and SO me. The entire day was quite overwhelming, being showered with gifts and love from so many. I can't even imagine how overwhelming our wedding day will be. We'll find out in 33 days!

{a special guest popped in at the end of the party to say helo!}

With Love,
Jenn

The Knot New Jersey

Back in April we showed you a black and white NYE wedding, and we were happy to see it in the new The Knot New Jersey magazine!

This wedding has such great ideas and is so inspirational for anyone going for a black and white theme - with a pop of magenta color!

This wonderful wedding was designed and coordinated by Tina LaMorte of Oh So Fabulous! See our previous post for many more ideas to borrow for your own soiree.

Duck, North Carolina Map

Known for its beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets, the quaint town of Duck, North Carolina was the perfect backdrop for this end-of-summer wedding weekend.

The couple opted to keep the hotspots to a minimum and let the landscape speak for itself in their wedding map - and the result was a relaxing, peaceful look enticing the guests for the getaway that awaited them!

Adventures of a Bride-to-Be

My mailbox has never been so exciting! The first thing I used to look forward to upon arriving home from a long days work was throwing on a pair of XL sweats and pulling my hair into a ponytail. Now I look forward to mail. Don't get me wrong, the bills are still littering the mailbox, but amongst those bad apples are the most beautiful little envelopes with RSVP's enclosed. I love the little notes people are writing and I can feel the excitement when I see a name written with three exclamation points preceding it. I find myself getting more excited each day as the responses come in.

I only wish we could have invited everyone we know. Stephen and I decided shortly after our engagement that we wanted to keep our wedding small and intimate, so as to be able to spend a good amount of one-on-one time with our guests. It has been a tough battle at times to narrow down our list, but we believe it will be worthwhile to have the opportunity to spend time with our family and friends who have walked beside us through so many stages in our lives. We look forward to honoring our guests for the love they've poured out to us because after all, it takes a village!

With Love,
Jenn

Eco-Chic Lake Tahoe Set

This adorable 3-piece set was created for an eco-friendly couple getting married in South Lake Tahoe.

Both budget conscious and environmentally conscious, the bride loved our idea of the 100% recycled kraft paper with soy printed navy ink - both very eco-friendly! And what destination would be complete without one of our maps?

Keeping in line with minimal paper waste (and you can save on postage), they opted for an easy RSVP postcard (not pictured) - the whole set is sweet and simple, the perfect look for this happy couple! They completed the look by tying a nice little bow around the set.

In the Press: Lake Como, Italy

This wedding that took place last July at Lake Como, Italy is nothing short of beautiful. The venue and view are breathtaking, and the couple is so adorable - they even brought their dog along! We are so pleased to have been a part of this collaboration.

You can see the full spread on InsideWeddings.com or Style Me Pretty, but here are some of the amazing shots by photographer extraordinaire Corbin Gurkin.

We created a map (of course!) for the destination wedding, which was used on totes...

In addition we made programs, small reserved signs, escort cards, table cards and menus with place card belly bands.

And here are some pictures of the venue and happy couple just because they are so lovely!

Adventures of a Bride-to-Be

Wow! We’re less than two months away from getting married and as I type that thought out, I can feel the anxiety working its way through me. Then again, the anxious feeling may be due to the four lattes’ I’ve had today.

Surprisingly, I’ve been pretty relaxed through the wedding planning process, even being dubbed the anti-bridezilla on more than one occasion. My relaxed attitude has caused quite a bit of stress for those involved in our wedding, as they are concerned with making the day perfect. I never imagined I’d be so stress-free, but so far everything has fallen into place perfectly, thus giving me no reason to worry. I ordered my dress with plenty of time to spare in my opinion, though the sales lady was concerned I wouldn’t be able to take it home until a few days before our wedding. My thought was, “Perfect. I won’t have to be troubled with where to put that giant closet hog.” We haven’t met with our DJ yet but I’ve been to weddings he’s worked, so I’m not the least bit concerned with his abilities. He knows what he’s doing, right?

My vendors all think I’m nuts. And so do some of my friends and family. It’s possible that working in the Special Events industry has jaded me. I get that the vendors I’ve hired are professionals and do not need me to babysit them. I have let them know that I trust them in their field of expertise and they have the freedom to be creative with my basic concepts. I feel that if I limit them with the exact look I want, I might miss out on something potentially more exciting that they would come up with. I’m sure they would appreciate if I got back to them in a timelier manner though. I guess the comment, “Don’t worry. It’ll be fine,” is not always reassuring when our wedding is only a month and a half away. None the less, we look forward to how everything will come together, from the décor, to the dining experience.

BTW, does anyone have a crash diet plan for someone with no self control? It’s quite possible my dress is two sizes too small. Now there’s something to stress about! Wish me luck.

Real Wedding: Hawaii

When something pops in your inbox from the super talented photographer Jose Villa, you just know it's going to be good! And these detail shots of our work from a Hawaii wedding definitely did not disappoint.

We started with the calligraphy for the invitations. These envelopes, and all of the below printed materials, feature our Spencerian script in white ink - such a light and fresh look on the khaki paper!

At the pre-ceremony, guests were greeted with nicely labeled water and iced tea...

...then found their tables for the reception with these charming escort cards!

Finally guests took their seats with these simple yet elegant place cards - how clean is the look of this table setting?!

Thanks, Jose, for sharing your beautiful work!
